Quick Start

The biggest remaining friction point for new players was the Universe Browser — a multi-option screen asking you to choose between creating a universe, joining one, loading a save, or browsing a gallery. For a first-time visitor who just wants to see the game, that’s too many decisions before any gameplay happens.

Starting with v0.7.1, guest players skip that screen entirely. Click “Play as Guest” and the game auto-creates a world with smart defaults — terrestrial planet, pixel-art style, a handful of starting species. You’re watching AI villagers explore, build, and talk within seconds. Returning players and signed-in users still get the full Universe Browser with all its options.

This release also fixes the support prompt timing — no more being asked to sign in and support the game within your first minute of play. Both prompts now wait until you’ve had at least five minutes of uninterrupted gameplay.
